Karen is the founder and creative director of Tafi Weddings, a luxury wedding planning service dedicated to creating celebrations that feel effortless, timeless, and unforgettable. The name Tafi is short for Tafadzwa - Karen’s middle name - which means happiness, a value that sits at the heart of everything she creates.

With a background in fashion, where she specialised in project management & product technology, Karen brings structure, precision, and an exceptional eye for detail to every wedding. Her journey into weddings began organically - through hosting and planning birthdays, engagement celebrations, and special moments for friends and loved ones. What truly inspired Karen to create Tafi Weddings was planning and designing her own three weddings, two of which were destination celebrations. Experiencing the process from a couple’s perspective gave her a deep understanding of the importance of seamless coordination, thoughtful design, and calm guidance throughout the planning journey. She has also worked alongside some of the UK's most renowned wedding planners to support couples' day to remember.

 

 

When she’s not planning weddings, Karen finds inspiration through travel and exploring new cultures - experiences that continue to shape her creative perspective and appreciation for meaningful traditions. A lifelong lover of dance, she enjoys expressing creativity through movement, and her passion for design extends beyond weddings into sewing and creating clothing by hand.
